From Turin to Cascina Cesarina

CASCINA CESARINA Via dei Cesari 32  Gagnago, Borgo Ticino

Lat/Long: (45.677423727186195, 8.590482473373413)

Take the A4 motorway towards Milan.  When you are about 55 km from Milan you pass an exit called GREGGIO. Don't get off there, but start looking out. You have to take the next turnoff, onto the A26 towards GRAVELLONA TOCE (it's a right turn off the main motorway, then almost immediately left - otherwise you end up going South towards Genoa !). Stay on the A26 motorway until after the Borgomanero exit, where the motorway divides again: KEEP TO THE LEFT, posted MILAN, not to the right posted Gravellona Toce. You then get off at the next exit, CASTELLETTO TICINO. Keep to the left-hand booths, where you can pay cash, unless you want to pay with your credit card. Don’t go into the  Viacard or Telepass lanes).

Follow the slip-road down, turn LEFT at end, posted NOVARA. Follow road round until you come out on main Arona-Novara road (SS32), where you turn RIGHT towards Novara. Stay on this road for about 4 km (ignore a large right fork posted Comignago-Gattico-Borgomanero and a series of turnings into Borgo Ticino).  Just stay on the main road until you have passed the whole village of Borgo Ticino (Tamoil petrol station on your right, then an Agip on your left).  About 200 metres beyond the Agip, take a RIGHT TURN posted DIVIGNANO (there is also a large advert for the Parco Faunistico LA TORBIERA).  If you come to a roundabout on the main road, with a shopping centre on your left, then you have gone too far and missed the turn!!  Go round the roundabout and back, in this case taking the first LEFT, posted Divignano.  Then take the next right,(100 metres on),  Via Conturbia, and go straight for about 400 metres, then the first right into Via Campo Militare (there is a large GAGNAGO sign). Go through a very narrow passage between two old houses, then take the first left, which is Via dei Cesari.  Go straight down Via dei Cesari until you come to a T junction where you turn LEFT under the arch of a farmhouse (n.25) (asphalt ends). Go  straight on another 100 yards, road curves right into our drive - lined with silver birches. Our house is the left-hand portion and you can park right outside.
